Courseware for Car Mechanics
| Interactive
Presentations is working closely with ITE to develop courseware
for car mechanics. Significant amount of courseware is being produced
which is designed to be operated within a structured learning
environment. Students are working in a laboratory on test equipment
and hardware. Supporting material for their course is delivered
over the internet. Questions are embedded in the courseware which
will be linked to a management system to allow tutors to monitor
the progress of students.

|
| In this example
students are given some basic electromechanical theory and an
introduction to the components of the circuit.
|
|
| They are introduced
to a virtual circuit and a digital multimeter. This multimeter
is used to "measure" the voltage at various points on
the circuit.
|
|
| The system
allows the student to measure the "ON" and "OFF" load voltages.
The engine is set to crank when the "ON" load voltage is measured.
|
|
| Students are encouraged
to get involved with the program by performing different tasks.
In this example students click on the names of the various components
of the starter motor to make these components appear. Students
use a workbook to record details. The workbook page relating to
the above computer screen is shown below. |
|
| The learning process
is reinforced using a workbook. Students have to complete the
book. Which is kept by the students and used as a reference document. |
