CARDIFF ARCHAEOLOGICAL CONSULTANTS

Cardiff Archaeological Consultants (formerly Channel Archaeology), a sister company, is a group of specialists in archaeological techniques who have come together to provide a comprehensive service to large-scale developers and private individuals alike.

Current planning regulations advise that the archaeological aspects of development should be dealt with as part of the application process. We can help with all aspects of the procedure. This includes:

  • Preparing programmes of work and desktop studies
  • Undertaking watching briefs, evaluations and building surveys
  • Excavations
  • Preparing reports of the work to include analyses of finds and environmental and technological samples
  • The public display of sites and objects using conventional exhibition techniques or multimedia interactive displays.
Historical reconstructions are an important part of the production of both conventional exhibition type and multimedia type public displays. We are working with one of the country's foremost historical artists - Chris Molan to create these reconstructions.
